De Lagonda V12 kwam in verschillende gedaantes waaronder als
stijlvolle Drophead Coupé. Voor de techniek was Walter Owen
Bentley verantwoordelijk die Rolls Royce had verlaten om zich bij
het ontwerpteam van Lagonda aan te sluiten. Bentley kreeg de vrije hand om een V12 te ontwerpen die alle concurrentie op achterstand zou zetten. Naast de krachtige, soepele, stille en mooi gebalanceerde motor had de Lagonda onafhankelijke voorwielophanging, synchromesh op de tweede en derde versnelling, twee hydraulische hoofdremcilinders en een geavanceerd instrumentarium. Frank Feeley was verantwoordelijk voor de lijnen van de fabriekscarrosserieën. Deze vielen dermate in de smaak dat bijna niemand gebruik maakte van de optie alleen een chassis af te nemen en de carrosserie op maatte laten maken.

Several versions of the Lagonda V12 were produced, including a stylish Drophead Coupé. Leaving his position at Rolls Royce to join the Lagonda design team, Walter Owen Bentley was responsible for engineering.

Bentley was given free rein to design a V12 that would put all the competition at a disadvantage. In addition to the powerful, smooth, quiet and beautifully balanced engine, the Lagonda offered independent front suspension, synchromesh on the second and third gears, two hydraulic master cylinders and an advanced instrument cluster.

Frank Feeley was responsible for the lines of the factory-built bodies which appeared to be so popular that hardly anyone chose the body-only option to have it made to order.
