De Enzo Ferrari (ook onofficieel Ferrari Enzo genoemd) is vernoemd naar de oprichter van dit Italiaanse automerk, Enzo Ferrari. De Enzo werd ontworpen door de Japanner Ken Okuyama. Het idee achter de Enzo Ferrari was hetzelfde als dat achter de F50: het bouwen van een Formule 1-wagen voor de weg. Oorspronkelijk werden er 349 exemplaren geproduceerd. Later besloot Ferrari om er nog eens vijftig te produceren. In 2005 werd speciaal voor Paus Johannes Paulus II een laatste Enzo Ferrari gemaakt, wat het totaal op 400 bracht. Deze werd uiteindelijk geveild voor ruim € 1 miljoen ten voordele van de slachtoffers van de tsunamiramp in 2004.[1] Dezelfde auto bracht tijdens een veiling van RM Sotheby’s in Monterey in 2015 bijna € 5,5 miljoen op.

The idea behind the Enzo Ferrari was the same as that behind the F50: to build a Formula One car for the road. Originally, 349 examples were produced. Later Ferrari decided to produce fifty more. In 2005, a final Enzo Ferrari was made especially for Pope John Paul II, bringing the total to 400. It was eventually auctioned for over €1 million to benefit the victims of the 2004 tsunami disaster.[1] The same car brought nearly €5.5 million at an RM Sotheby’s auction in Monterey in 2015.

Plus tard, Ferrari a décidé d’en produire cinquante de plus. En 2005, une dernière Enzo Ferrari a été fabriquée spécialement pour le pape Jean-Paul II, portant le total à 400. Elle a finalement été vendue aux enchères pour plus d’un million d’euros au profit des victimes du tsunami de 2004[1]. La même voiture a rapporté près de 5,5 millions d’euros lors d’une vente aux enchères de RM Sotheby’s à Monterey en 2015.
