Be the first to discover the unique cars presented by the exhibitors. Specially for this evening, star chef Dick Middelweerd will prepare a spectacular dinner for you and your guests. Dick Middelweerd
Dick Middelweerd (born 1963, Harmelen) is, together with his wife Anne‑Laura, the owner and head chef of De Treeswijkhoeve, located in a characteristic 1916 farmhouse in Waalre. After his education and work experience at renowned restaurants such as La Provence, Ciel Bleu, and De Hoefslag, he joined De Treeswijkhoeve in 1991, which he and his wife took over in 2000. Under their leadership, the restaurant received its first Michelin star in 2006 and a second in 2013, both of which have been retained to this day.
Middelweerd is known for his refined cuisine, where French techniques, Asian influences, and locally grown products come together. He maintains his own vegetable garden where he cultivates herbs and vegetables. In addition to his work in the kitchen, he regularly gives masterclasses to culinary schools and is dedicated to training a new generation of top chefs.
Legends of the Rising Sun
Japanese sports and racing cars—once purely functional, now globally recognized icons—take center stage. From the elegant Toyota 2000GT to the fierce Mazda 787B, InterClassics pays tribute to Japan’s automotive world, where engineering and tradition merge in a truly unique way.
This exhibition bridges nostalgia and innovation. Japanese cars were once seen as purely utilitarian, but they evolved into legendary models that redefined both road and track performance. Through roughly twenty exceptional pieces, Legends of the Rising Sun showcases how Japanese brands like Toyota, Honda, Nissan, and Mazda pushed boundaries and set new standards in performance, reliability, and design.
