Welcome to the very first edition of the InterClassics Business Day. A networking afternoon with leading speakers who combine their love for cars and classics with successfully doing business.

For instance, Mark Koense and Giedo van der Garde give their views on motorsport and entrepreneurship, sharing their experiences as well as important lessons from the world of racing. Nico Aaldering and Ronald Kooyman will then update you on the latest developments in the classic car industry.

Surprise your business club or business associates with interesting networking opportunities and introduce them to the world of classics. A gourmet tasting will be served during the networking drinks. For groups larger than 15 people, we offer the option of racing against each other at the Sim Expo or opting for a private tour of the “120 Years Ford Performance” exhibition.

Program

The Business Day will start with a presentation led by Mark Koense and Giedo van der Garde on the link between motorsport and business. In the second session, Mark Koense interviews Nico Aaldering and Ronald Kooyman for a panel discussion on developments in the classic car industry. Our partner Ferrari Trento will provide a reception with festive bubbles and a gourmet tasting will be served during the networking drinks taking place after the presentations.

For groups larger than 15 people, simulator races and guided tours start at the “120 Years Ford Performance “exhibition. To close the event, everyone will have free time to take a look at the fair for themselves.

Mark Koense en Giedo van der Garde

Former F1 driver and entrepreneur Giedo van der Garde and motorsport expert Mark Koense combine their expertise in and make the link between motorsport and top-level business. Their mission is to help everyone learn the fascinating lessons and challenges you face in racing.

Giedo van der Garde is one of the most successful Dutch racing drivers, with experience in both Formula 1 and endurance racing. In 2021, he achieved the highlight of his career by becoming world champion in the FIA World Endurance Championship. Besides his racing career, Giedo is a leading Formula 1 analyst and entrepreneur with his company CRAVT, which specialises in premium real estate projects.

Mark Koense began his career in Formula 1 at the age of 19 and later founded the Racing for Holland team, which achieved considerable success, including two world titles and participation in Le Mans. Today, he is author of several motorsport books, editor-in-chief of GP Magazine and team manager of the Racing Team Nederland.

Nico Aaldering

Nico Aaldering is a Dutch entrepreneur with a prominent role in the classic car industry. He is the founder of The Gallery Brummen, a leading car dealership and showroom located in Brummen, Netherlands that opened in December 2000. The Gallery Brummen specialises in selling exclusive and classic car brands, such as Aston Martin, Ferrari, Porsche and other renowned brands. In 2001, son Nick also joined the company and together they ensured a shift to the higher end and Gallery Aaldering has become one of the largest classic car dealers in Europe.

With extensive knowledge and expertise in classic cars, Nico Aaldering has established a name as an expert within the automotive industry. Aaldering became national news in a day thanks to THE purchase of his life: one of the largest ‘barnfinds’ in the world with as many as 230 special classics and vintage cars. For years, he has had a role in the TV programme RTL Autowereld with the item Nico’s classic car.

Ronald Kooyman

Ronald Kooyman started as general manager for Louwman in 2002. With this position, he was responsible for the realisation, supervision and design of the newly built Louwman Museum.

Since 2009, he has been the director of the Louwman Museum, which was officially opened in 2010 by Her Majesty Queen Beatrix, in The Hague.

The Louwman Museum is one of the leading national car museums in Europe, making it one of the top 10 car museums worldwide. The Louwman Museum is described as: a museum showing both automotive and social history. The museum’s collection has been assembled since 1934 and now boasts more than 250 cars.
