De Cadillac Northstar LMP is een prototype gebouwd door Cadillac voor gebruik in de American Le Mans Series en een poging om Cadillac terug te brengen naar de 24 uur van Le Mans sinds de eerste deelname in 1950. De Northstar LMP’s werden vernoemd naar de Northstar V8-motoren die ze aandreven. Het Cadillac-project liep van 2000 tot 2002, toen General Motors besloot het project te annuleren om zich uitsluitend te concentreren op het Chevrolet Corvette-programma.
Cadillac nam deel aan de 24 uur van Le Mans in 2000, 2001 en 2002 met de Northstar LMP900, aangedreven door een 4.0-liter turbocharged V8-motor. In 2001 finishte het team als 15e na 270 ronden, vlak achter het team van Corvette Racing Pratt.

The Cadillac Northstar LMP was a prototype built by Cadillac for use in the American Le Mans Series and an attempt to bring Cadillac back to the 24 Hours of Le Mans since its first participation in 1950. The Northstar LMPs were named after the Northstar V8 engines that powered them. The Cadillac project ran from 2000 to 2002, when General Motors decided to cancel the project to focus exclusively on the Chevrolet Corvette programme.
Cadillac participated in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2000, 2001 and 2002 with the Northstar LMP900, powered by a 4.0-litre turbocharged V8 engine. In 2001, the team finished 15th after 270 laps, just behind the Corvette Racing Pratt team.

Les LMP Northstar ont été nommées d’après les moteurs V8 Northstar qui les propulsaient. Le projet Cadillac s’est déroulé de 2000 à 2002, date à laquelle General Motors a décidé d’annuler le projet pour se concentrer exclusivement sur le programme Chevrolet Corvette.
