Please mind: InterClassics Brussels is a cashless event

Our classic car expo celebrates its 30th anniversary and puts the visitor first. The public will decide in two voting rounds which cars will be presented at the ‘30 years of InterClassics Maastricht’ exhibition. This will take place at MECC Maastricht from 16 to 19 January 2025. The best stories from the public will be shared at the cars and the most chosen car will become the new poster car.

From Thursday 16 to Sunday 19 January 2025, the 30th edition of MECC Maastricht will be the international meeting point for fans of Oldtimers (classic cars), Youngtimers (young classic cars) and supercars. InterClassics is celebrating its 30th anniversary with its fans. The organisers invite visitors to vote for their favourite cars from 30 years of InterClassics Maastricht. In two rounds of voting, people can choose from more than 100 exclusive classic cars and supercars. The vote will decide the car on the poster, which will be shown in a Maastricht setting specially for this edition. On the expo floor, the theme will be set by presenting the best rationales for the different cars.

Since 2003, the popular trade show for collectable cars has had many different themes, including: “70 Years of Ferrari,” “125 Years of Mercedes-Benz,” “Dutch Grand Prix Classics” and many others. Two rounds of voting will decide which car from all previous themes is selected. Some unique cars in the first voting round include Jacky Ickx’s Le Mans winning Jaguar D-Type and Alfa Romeo T33/TT/3. Modern car enthusiasts are also catered for with the hyper-exclusive cars, such as the Aston Martin Victor and Bugatti Chiron on the shortlist. The second round of voting will follow a month later. Both rounds of voting will determine the car on the poster. It currently shows the (still covered) car drawn in on the distinctive Vrijthof square in Maastricht. After the summer holidays, the final poster with the winning car will be announced.

Exhibition manager Erik Panis describes the theme as follows:
“We owe the success of 30 years of InterClassics Maastricht to our visitors. This theme was chosen especially to emphasise the connection with our fans. We see it as a thank you to them and hope that picking a single car from all these extraordinary choices will give them a pleasant pang of stress. A kind of Top 2000 of classic cars!”

The story makes the car
Our InterClassics visitors know well that a car is more than just a collection of parts. That is precisely why the organisers want to hear the stories behind the cars. When each visitor makes their vote, they are asked which specific car left a lasting impression on them. And most importantly, why? InterClassics is looking for the best anecdotes, memories and stories for that one special car. The best stories will be shared at the ‘30 years of InterClassics Maastricht’ expo. The best entries could win free tickets, guided tours and the grand prize: entry to the InterClassics Preview Night! A star-studded dinner on the eve (15 January 2025) of InterClassics taking place among the cars of the themed exhibition!

Free choice: dream car
According to InterClassics, an anniversary is not just about looking back. The classics and supercars world never stands still. That’s why InterClassics is giving everyone the chance to submit their ultimate dream car. Classic, modern, ultra-quiet or deafening… any choice is possible. InterClassics will consult its network of renowned museums and international (private) collections to present the top three most desirable cars in Maastricht. So, the organisation is guaranteed to exhibit a line-up that has never been seen before.

FIVA membership
InterClassics is marking the anniversary by joining the FIVA (Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens). This non-profit organisation was founded in 1966 to preserve and promote historic cars. FIVA is also a UNESCO consulting partner and represents the world heritage of the automotive industry and related culture.

InterClassics Maastricht will take place from Thursday 16 to Sunday 19 January 2025 at MECC Maastricht. The classic car show traditionally attracts more than 35,000 buyers and enthusiasts. Entry tickets can be bought online at a discount: The online price for adults is €22 compared to the daytime box office price for adults at €25. Children up to 8 years old are free. Children aged 8 to 15 pay €12.50 at the daytime box office. More information about the expo can be found on the website www.interclassics.events
